Quintero something, assume it was a robusto but it was cheap and needed a smoke with a few beers. Very one dimensional but met a need! Anyone had many of these??

Not smoked in ages but had a Casa Magna Sanchos today. Turned me a bit green!

Sounds like the Favoritos, first one or two i had were ok, but left me wanting more, indeed very one dimensional. After those it went downhill, terrible smokes that taste like dirt, won't be buying any more of them for a long time...

I've had a fair few of the Favoritos and there can be a few duff ones in a pack. Given they're a short filler, they're always going to be bit hit and miss. With the crap ones, I've found that after about a third, if I put one down, let it go out and relight, it improves the flavour for me. Mine have all been November '12 and have improved over the last couple of months. I've a carton put away and will see how they are next year.

I get smokin's take on them, but whilst not having any dirt, I regularly pick up a single malt (of sorts) strong walnut and leather. I had one today and it did the job as far as a decoy, but the pedigree will never stand up to the vast majority of Cubans. The Favoritos are quite a mongrel
