A lot of driving today so took along a HdM Epicure especial and a Partagas D4, both of which have been snoozing for about 6 months. The HdM epicure was not up to the normal standard I've enjoyed - there was no floral aroma and it was very light. Fired up the D4 on the way home and this was a real rollercoaster - I had been looking forward to the earthy hit but it wasn't what I got at all. The first inch was the earthy flavour but quite mellow but the smoke was like silk - never had a cigar so smooth. About an inch in and bam on my palette, couldn't quite place it so another few puffs and there it was....sherbert! This continued - a lovely silky smooth sherbert flavour until just above the band when bam, the taste changed to a deep roasted caramel - almost like a werthers original. I have never had a cigar liek this and doubt I will ever have one like it again but so strange the flavours of that D4 (enjoyable though!)

Party P1 ...not bad but still tasted like it needs many years to reach it's potential.

Wow monks! That's strange, only one for a taste test this time?
How old was it? The P series I find are palatable at 2years MIN

P1 never did much for me tbh. However much I wanted it too.

            Monte PE on the go...

A twelve year old Cohiba Exquisitos. A little plugged, but with that aside, one of the best cigars I have ever had.

A Quinteros Favoritos on the way home from work, and finished at home. With the nights drawing in, opportunities are decreasing to polish one off in the garden.

                  Nice shot there Oz.

Independencia 1898 Robusto, very very good cigar. Flavours changed constantly, all in all a very engaging and interesting smoke!
