Salut les Trininad!! Ils sont hard to beat!!

The Trini Robusto isn't really a cigar, more like a truncheon!! It's massive

Je ne savais pas que t'es francophone, mon pote!

The Scots have a close affinity with the French because a Scotsman's clear vowels are very close indeed to clear French vowels.

          Scotsmen make great French speakers!

          This is true! SHUT UP!

The Scots don't say things like RRRIIICCCKKKKKAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!

My fave accents are Glaswegian (Rab C Nesbitt) and Leith / Edinburgh.
Tho I gather Glascow folk consider Edinburgh folk to sound like nonces.

I think you Scots have a great deal in common with the French culturally.
          Whisky production cf wine production.
          Beautiful landscapes vs beautiful landscapes.
Space and calm vs space and calm.

One of you guys mentioned the quality of the water.
There is so much chalk and nonsense in our water in SE Kent it tastes like someone's had an accident in it.

I admire you Scots, but not to the level of wishing to bear hug you.
          We all need our boundaries!

This is true! I once had a 20 minute conversation with a Frenchman before he realised I wasn't French!! Admittedly we were both reeking at a party but he thought I was Parisian!! We had a French exchange student in our halls of residence back in the day and he spoke English all the time and I spoke only French to him....great way to learn. Picked up loads in no time at all...seems so long ago...found a grey chest hair the other day

Couldn't agree more, mate. That really works, and I know French/German couples and French/English couples who carry on like that all the time.

I lke the clarity of Scots accents. Two good mates across the road are from Kilmarnock. Of course, when they go home they are perceived as English after so many years down here.

I didn't think you were old enough for chest pubes of any colour.
                Most impressed.

                      Jeez. You ancient thing!
Can you leave your nail varnish on next time, please?...

PS Awesome smoke session you had there last night.

I've got some D4s perc-ing quietly and may well thoroughly throttle myself with cigar joy this afternoon. On that other thread, cigar toking is as fun as shermans. I do nothing else with my life lol.
