Senor T asked: Never had one TJ. Was your Luck in .... was it nice?
El Perro responded: I smoked one yesterday followed by a Griffin robusto.
I plan to try another one today before I come out with an official comment.

These sticks come from an excellent pedigree:
"From the makers of Davidoff, the Private stock is an exceptional value. Mild to medium bodied with a distinctive flavor, each Private Stock is hand rolled in the Dominican Republic[/URL]. Private Stock cigars are one of the best values in the cigar world. Made at the Tabadom Factory, one of the most famous factories operating today, the cigars are hand rolled from premium Dominican ...
Private Stock is mild to medium bodied and has a slightly metallic finish that comes from its unique Ecuadorian binder. Each cigar is rolled under the supervision of master cigar maker Henke Kelner, a name commonly associated with top quality cigars. At an everyday low price, Private Stock is an inexpensive yet valuable addition to any humidor."
Or so the vendors say.
My opinion, this is far from a great stick, but for 870 pesos ($65 US) for a box of 25, its a decent "value" stick. It has good construction and a decent burn, but it's a bit one -dimensional on the flavor side - reminded me of fresh grass - and a bit harsh, which softens a bit in the second half. If it were a Habano, I'd say it needs some aging. Nonetheless, it's a smoke-able cigar one might call a "lawn mowing" stick. Not something to be savored, by no means, but a reasonable alternative when you don't won't to waste one of your fine purors; something to enjoy while tending to other matters.
That's what I think, anyway.
