Rokkitsci Golden Hammer, or to give it it's proper name a Padron Family Reserve 45 Years Maduro. Gorgeous looking cigar and a masterclass in how to use a second band, makes all CC double-banders look cheap and blingy!

Got a bit of history for me this cigar. It was the first BOTL gifted cigar I ever received. Only George could be so generous as to give a Newbee a cigar like this, and only George would be so diabolical as to give a Newbee a cigar like this. Mind you he did PM a Warning, I think it went something like, "Shut your eyes, suck and hope for the best!"

I've put off smoking it for several reasons. 1) These aren't easy to come by and I would only get the one chance. 2) They're expensive and I didn't want to risk wasting it. 3) They don't put that little hammer between the 19 and 64 for nothing.

Very smooth, very creamy, full on rich and rounded chocolate tastes with woods and veiled fruits. 4 years in my humi have probably mellowed the strength a bit, but it gained power puff on puff and resisting it was like trying to resist a hydraulic jack .... there was only going to be one winner!

    Thanks George, great smoke!

unfortunately my Oliva sucked. apparently they're nice with several months aging but I won't be buying any of these again for a while yet.

That's a shame, they really are good and usually consistent cigars. Did it not smoke well or just a bad taste?

Well that's cigar smoking. Everyone has different tastes which is all part of the fun I guess.

            I personally can't stand the Party SD4's
which seem to be very popular. Bloody awful cigar!

                    I'm a fan of the high-end Padron sticks (I.e., 80 Years Maduro).

So, should I keep an eye out for this one, se?or T? Or just head on up to Florida and pay our friend se?or Rocketman a visit?

Had a Cappuccino and H.Upmann Half Corona after work.
Nice little cigar, although interested to try out the Partagas Shorts.
