Prior to the Short Story this evening, I smoked a Monte Open Junior Tubo. This was my first cigar from the Open range which we know has never had rave reviews. It was medium bodied with a decent flavour IMO. I'm poor at identifying the nuances though
It became a tad harsh towards the very end which may have been youthfulness. However, I enjoyed this little aluminium clad juvenile (courtesy of Keith @ the Prince) and would go there again, and be tempted to try others in the range out of curiosity.

I don't know why the Open range gets such a hard time as they're actually really good smokes. Lighter than I normally smoke but still a fine cigar. I think there's a lot of haters who've jumped on the hating bandwagon who've probably never even smoked one!
Fuck it....I'm declaring myself as an Open quite-liker....
