E.P. Carrillo Cardinal Series Cardinal 56 Gordo Maduro for me tonight. Never had one before and it's from a 2012 sampler.

Stronger than I would normally have but it's great to try new. It's not bad at all, very spicey and a great burn.

Ive yet to be converted by anything maduro Fordi but there again I've only tried about half a dozen and can't remember what they were. Sounds like you got friendly with this one though Arty shots too

I can't recommend this one enough: Flor Antilles Double Ligero Maduro Chisel.
The ligero seems to cancel with the maduro to make it bloody awesome. But it still retains characteristics of both. Like a dry smooth leathery and sweet taste. Also the shape is a riot. I've heard their standard ligero isn't much to rave about though......

Methinks I got Sam to buy one of them. So I can't stop at just one

It's much much stronger than I have had before but the aroma was amazing. I definitely need to try more to educate my pallet - good thing!!

But no matter! The only thing i find terrible on some maduros is the final third (even the Maduro 5 Secretos had this problem for me) How's this one? palatable i hope??

And that's good . The Chisel is a unique experience FOR SURE. for only 7-8 dollars online, they're magnificient.

Had the Genesis Project cigar by Ramon Bueso tonight, had heard these were bland on first tasting so i had let this one rest for about 9months, glad i did! sweet chocolate and leather taste, and the sheen on the wrapper, amazing! loved it with a tom collins
