good morning all,
to all it may cncern, happy father's day!! yes, that time of the year for the crap presents we don't care for...... guess it's really a day our other halves let us 'off the leash' (or at least that's what we like them to think, lol)!! anyway, finished early this morning, just made a bit of breakfast for myself........ and gonna fire up an 'ERDM choix supreme!! as far as i know, 'el rey del mundo' translates as 'king of the world', so this is how i'm setting myself up for today!! let today's celebrations begin, lol.......

I was informed yesterday my wench of a mother in law has decided to take my little man to a christening all day.

Going for breakfast and cigar shopping with the mrs if we ever get to leave the house.

Cohiba Siglo VI

Happy Fathers day to all. Just enjoyed a Cohiba VI, about a couple of years old, with a large glass of Auchentoshan Three Wood single malt. Absolutely stunning smoke, the cigar I mean. lasted about an hour and twenty minutes, ever changing complex flavours and smoked it until it almost burned my fingers.

evening all,
as usual, a slight change of plans!! when i got home from work, i was all prepared for a partagas lusitania!! as luck would have it, when i went to the tupperdor i knew they were in, what did i find? an unopened box of 10 h upmann magnum 50's, dated july 2008!! holy cow, how did i not notice them? they had a lovely bloom on them and the wrappers were almost maduro!! so, i went with one of them, a bottle of newcastle brown ale and a glass of highland park 12!! amazing!! simply amazing!! the magnum 50 was perfect....... creamy coffee (think cafe cortado), milk chocolate, caramel with hints of orange (think seville orange maramlade) and spice!! the lusitania can wait for another day (btw, they are dated april 2008, why have i not checked these before?)!!!

btw, i was busting to get into my newly aquired bruichladdich cuvee 640, but 'er indoors has guests in, and i'm not in the sharing mood!! lol.....

Love the Upmann Mag 50s. I've got a cab from Aug 2009 that I'm letting age away merrily in my Tuppy as well...
