An early start with a Party PC Especiales, whilst doing a few jobs outside.

Absolutely lovely - near perfect construction (burn has been excellent). All round a top notch cigar.

How does that compare to the PC, P2, or D4?? If you're building em up so high, I might give partagas another tryy.. P2 and D4s really weren't THAT great for me (for the price anyways).......
PC was alright, but only cause it was 2 years old.

Hoping something else can make me like em

It compares very well, but then I am a little biased towards Partagas (Lusi is my no1 cigar, followed by the P2). Found Partagas' construction to be extremely consistent (never had a plugged or otherwise unsmokable Party of any kind).

          hey jeremy,
i find that the partagas EL's are a bit heavier than the regular productions!! personally i found this to be the case with the D5 EL and regular D5!! i love partagas cigars, but don't smoke enough of them as i used to (i'm more bolivar & h upmann)!! i find that partagas d4 & p2 benefit with a couple of years...... maybe you just got a young one? anyway, i always recommend the partagas short, 898v and lusitania!! never had any duff ones.......

          talking of lusitanias, i've 9 left from a 2010 10ct box!! reckon today i'll make it 8........

Hmmmmmm, well maybe i should give the ELs a try.. if i can find one here. I doubt i can find a D5 EL2008 around though..... seems like too far away. next partagas i pick up will be an EL then! And you do have reason. My smoked D4 was from December (now i have 5 of em kicking around my humidor (i regret buying em..... ). And my P2 was from Oct 12 and smoked in April.. that's some DECENT time on them....

Maybe that's why you find em much better, cause all yours seemed much more aged . Explains why my PC seemed a lot better. ah well, i'll let that P2 sit for a while. And maybe sell those D4s as they really don't seem to by of my taste.......

Not long finished off an absolute stellar JL2 whilst on barbecue duties. It was all just right, including the weather which was a bonus.

As my cigar cutter has decided to almost destroy my last couple of cigars I decided to wait until my new one arrives before smoking any of my good smokes in the humidor.

In the interim I thought I may as well smoke the Guantanamera Cristales that came as part of a sampler and will otherwise never be smoked. I was expecting it to be completely unsmokeable after reading a few reviews, but it ended up just being rubbish, there is no flavour and it is too light bodied and too bland to be unsmokeable. This will be my first and only one 😊

Absolutely loving an Alec Bradley American Classic Blend. Very smooth taste for a young cigar. Loads of smoke that smells amazing to the point if I was sat opposite I would be gutted it wasn't mine!

Sounds like a nice experience there fordi.

Just finished off a custom rolled robusto (Cuban) and that's me for the weekend.

Some great pictures and posts over the weekend chaps
