Never had the Robusto but this Torp is the fist i have had since buying them back in 08..
Got loads better with time even tho they were a good smoke from the start. Loverly creamy smoke and very mellow now..

          Gurkha Ninja Knife Robusto (5 x 55)

Nice draw and huge smoke output, my room is full of smoke, hope neighbours don't call fire brigade..
Nicotine rush at 2/5 in, a little light headed right now!!
Nice burn, didn't had to retouch it.
The whole stick finished in 4 big ash chunks, ash was a bit flaky.
Smooth and creamy.... overall I am inpressed!!

What are Rocky Patel cigars like? Did anyone get to the Rocky Patel cigars event at J J Fox? If so, how did it go?

This nice weather is costing me a bomb in cigars and beverages, but it's such a pleasure

                Lovely and sunny in Perthshire

A RA Spanish RE from 08. The first box (oct 08) I had was a bit meh but this is the first out of the 2nd box (Dec 08) and its marvelous. What a difference...

                  Wait for your first inhale.
Only time in my life was with a maduro so it wasn't too harsh. But fuck my lungs. Hurt for 5 hours straight..........

Same as last night here. Waxy on the lips, a bit rough in the taste department here and there. This was improved with the ol' flamb? purge from time to time. Too young.

Got to the beach & was in Aberdeen for lunch time.Weather offshore had been gorgous but ABZ was grey clouds & looking like rain. 'It'll clear in the afternnon said the locals' but it did't look likely. However when I came out of the pub, low & behind if had indeed turned around. I headed across the road to the Academy & had a Hoyo Epicure Especial from 2011, with few Stellas. Wasn't overly impressed with these when they first came out this this was a gem & I believe agift, NSSanta? If so cheers Arf.
After a steak in the evening, I had a typically rustic looking Pary Con S; No3, one I brought back from Cuba couple of yrs ago. This is a pretty small cigar to round off an evening emeal but as I had already had the Hoyo I didn't want to over do it (gastroscopy on Mon), it was just fine.Got a female comment 'that lovely smell reminds me of Christmas', seems father/grandfather must have enjoyed a stogie on Christas day in her household.
Wonderful relaxing afternoon & evening after a real busy trip. I can count the number of days where the weather has been this good when I have been in ABZ over the last few yrs on one hand. The bars along this stretch have improved their outdoor smoking facitilies too. Very pleasent.
