A RyJ Short Churchill, bought from Belgium over the weekend. Nicely semi-aged with a box date of Dec '07. Smoked better than the few I've had previously and would appear to have benefitted from the time on it

    Inconsistancies.

I have never tried these CJ, and I keep reading differing opinions regarding the short Churchill being superb, and then others relaying stories of smoking for or five from a box which were plugged.

I do aim to try them out, but the inconsistancies in members views tends to put me off slightly.

I've tried some from three different sources Whisk and they've all been excellent. Probably my favourite RyJ

I've had a couple of the tubed ones with no draw problems. Can't vouch for the boxed ones obviously.

Not had that problem myself Mr. Whisk (as Stevie/Dave), but I have found the couple I've had, being quite bitter in the last third, which spoiled it for me. If you fancy swapping a couple, drop me a PM.

              Whoops, nearly forgot...

I like days off work...also had a San Cristobal El Principe (minuto) and a Macanudo Maduro (NC). The SC would have enjoyed a rest in the humi (bought it over the weekend and didn't wait) and the Maca was quite nice actually, tasting well. The end was a strange experience: you know the feeling you get with something menthol in the mouth/tubes, well it was like that without the menthol I can't describe it, but that was my immediate thought at the time. It was a kind of spicy 'fume'??
