A JL2, started on the drive home from work and polished off with half a Kronenbourg, on arrival at base camp.

I often find a beer pairs very well with a variety of things: crisps, nuts, a smoke and conversation

I met an exceptionally affable French restaurateur in London, very much in the Gerard Depardieu mold. He, despite his countrymens wines, argued that good British ales were the very best things to combine with cigars.

on thurs, was a Liga Privada Ratzilla, the best I've had from Liga Privada, full of very thick smoke and lots of chocolate and leather. now one of my top 5 smokes. enjoyed it along side of a Connoisseurs Choice: Dufftown, Bowmore 12, Auchentoshen 12, Balvenie 12 double wood, ardberg 12, dalmore 12 and dalmore cigar malt reserve (the pub we moved into has 120 malts!!) And tonight, when I saw the sunset over our 'backyard' when I left work, I knew I had to grab something quick to smoke, so it was a King Edward I was gifted with. basically cardboard with a bit of sweetness, but walking along the water smoking this, i felt like a king!

That sounds like a plan Matty. Let us know how you get on with a review or two.

Sounds and looks great Alex. That second picture is beautiful. I think I'd be content to smoke cardboard on ocassions too if I had that to look at at the end of the day!

I need to take my cigar smoking to better locations. My back garden is very depressing compared to that view! :-)

Had a SLR Pacificos Asia Pacific RE, quite bland and lacking any character until the final 3rd where hints of spice/pepper crept in, I love SLR but this one was a real let down.

Its a plastic mouth piece. Someone gave me a similar one and said " you like cigars try this" mine was made from brown cardboard not tobacco leaves and had some nasty sweetener impregnated in it. Took two puffs and stubbed it out... Hard. Horrible horrible things :-)

spot on, it was a plastic tip. Didnt have a bad taste, so i smoked the whole lote. also make a point of not binning gifted smokes, unless they are truly aweful
