I received a brace of NCs from an absent friend recently and have been smoking my way through them.

I have to say I smoked a couple of phallic monsters over the last couple of days. Although they lasted a long time, and made me feel good to hold, smoke and clutch them... they were, in honesty, pretty lightweight and bland. (Sorry, my friend). Not a hint of the depth of a Cuban.

This afternoon I finally scored.

I've enjoyed an Indian Tabac maduro cigar - robusto sized but thinner girth - and it tasted heavy and superb. It reminded me a bit of a Padron which is, for me, the best NC I have ever smoked.

I've said before I like a cigar to smack me round the gums and chops, and this one certainly did. It also had a really dense ash and body and put out oodles of smoke clouds without a great deal of work.

A slow and pungent smoke which I would visit again when I go back to the States. I doubt whether it could be found in the UK.

Very pleasant indeed, and a slow slow smoke. Not a quick burner.

Many plus points to this dark NC.

I believe Indian Tabac is a offshoot of Rocky Patel. have you tried many RP's before?

Trinidad Reyes in the pub beer garden earlier. Amusingly, or irritatingly enough, there was some fat chav smoking Lamberts upwind of me complaining about the smell. It didn't come to the 'well those stink too mate' stage of the conversation luckily.

my first smoke of the week!! been so busy setting up the wifes business it's all been late nights, if I had lit one up I would have fallen asleep with it.

So I'm catching up with things now she's gone to bed and I have a couple lined up, the expresso machine has been fired up so I'm starting with a party D4, then might go for a rocky decade and what ever else takes my fancy after that.

I love those RASCC, had them in the humi for a while like most cigars they truly get better with age sometimes do not fancy a long smoke, all the flavour but half the time.

I also like the San Cristobal El Principle again resting in the humi another short nice smoke.

I believe Indian Tabac is a offshoot of Rocky Patel. have you tried many RP's before?

I have smoked one Rocky Patel courtesy of Herr Sputnik.
The RP stands out in my mind with the Padron 1926 as a great smoke.
Interesting if the Indian Tabac is related because it had a definite complexity to its flavour. A really enjoyable smoke.
