Since I am apparently the only one puffin' this Monday, let me try a...cough-cough...review of the Romeo and Juliet EL 2005, Petite Torpedo.
Be warned, however, my reviews are very basic; almost simplistic, if you will. So please bear with me.
First of all, this puro was soooo goood that I nursed it for well over an hour! Maybe a long a 2 hours. Hard to tell because I go into a meditative trance when enjoying a good puro, so time and space are suspended!
Anyway, the R&J EL 05 had a very pleasant aroma from the first spark with a slight hint of grassiness, similar to a Punch-Punch, but not nearly as strong. After 7 years of hibernation, this is a very smooth and creamy puro - much better than when I bought them in February 2006. The ash reflected that classic dark/light gray color with the signature rough texture, almost pealing quality - similar to the bark of a River Birch.
An absolute gem of a mild puro all the way to the "bitter" end. No purging required.
One of the best I've smoked this year!
