I tend to agree with you but I make an exception for the PSD4, RASS and Boli RC...all excellent robustos IMO.

I just think my taste is leaning towards thinner gauge cigars more and more, I just don't get the taste and flavour I want from a Robusto and up.

It depends on the speed you smoke. The larger ring guages, with slower smokers, don't deliver their full potential because they don't get to burn at a sufficient temperature to release all the flavour.

For the same reason, faster smokers often don't enjoy smaller ring guages because they can get too hot and release too much acidity.

I'm a bit of a herf-monster so it's the big boys for me....but it's horses for courses.

I'm known as a very fast smoker, so not sure it completely tallys. Gonna keep on eye on it though.
