Any Cigarette Smokers?

I am guessing this is not as nice a place as I thought, maybe is because I say cigarettes too that no one talk to me or answer my questions. I think this unfair.

I only ask for learning, and realise maybe my asking is not right for people here in this forum, as student here in Holland, no one else my age smoke cigar so difficult to learn what is good to buy to start.

Oh well I try, It clean that many here have very much knowledge about cigars, but not welcome people from other countries? If anyone here is kind to tell me forum or club in Holland or close what is better for learner that is not english?

Also, to all the haters on here - I personally don't give a shit what he smokes, but one observation as a qualified TESOL teacher, when your Dutch is the same standard as this guy's English, then criticise him and label him a troll. Get off your high horse, who do think you are, the last bastion of ukcf or sorry ukccf. Is there not nicotine in cigars? Where do you think part of the pleasure from smoking a cigar comes from. Many things that are addictions can be hidden behind the wall of passion, though that is an argument for another day. You smoke, why? If you weren't addicted in some way why would you bother when it is harmful to you and others around you. Grow up and get a life, noone was talking to you anyway.

Chaps, calm down - I'm sure that there are lurkers here who have thought of joining up, but after reading drivel such as a lot of what is in this thread, are they going to join and get involved? No, they damn well won't.

I stand by my original response in this thread - let there be an occasional thread about cigarettes, but keep the main focus on fine cigars - live and let live.

Lastly, I don't think there is any Cuban cigar snobbery here - it just happens that the majority of members here smoke predominantly smoke Cuban Cigars, so they are likely to talk about them more. If this was a USA based forum, then quite the opposite would be apparent. Perhaps this is the very same phenomenon that has lead to such astonishing brand loyalty for Apple from its fans (despite its products not being measurably better or worse than its competitors), that when we hear someone bashing (criticising?) a brand we like, we take it as a personal affront instead of doing the intelligent thing and moving on.

I can't belive what I have just read, well actually I can! This forum needs to sort itself out and just accept that we have a diverse range of members. We all enjoy tobacco products with cigars being the mian theme. I feel ashamed to be a member here after reading this thread.

To both marlborough and silk cut, welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy and learn from the people on here and their extensive knowlegde of cigars and related itmes. Don't let some people on here put you off as they are just old grumpys who have nothing better to do that take the piss!

I'd suggest that this thread be locked as feelings are running high now, slagging other members off should be a complete no-no, if you have a beef with another member sort it over PM's or report it to an admin, absolutely no sense in using a thread to fight it out.

If you feel a post is suspect (especially in relation to new members) then I would also suggest using the report thread button next to the "Blog this post" which appears at the bottom of every entry, as opposed to posting in the thread. As has been seen on numerous occasions things can quickly get wildly out of control.
