Big cigar! But surprisingly mild to begin with. It tastes damp, like what I imagine moss would taste like. A little soapy flavour, does that make sense? Not unpleasant, but very different. I can't describe it, its almost like its not tobacco, or a blend of tobacco. There is no harshness to it at all, even blowing from the nose, there is nothing.
The construction is great and the burn is great too, razor sharp!
Well into the first third now. Lots of different flavours, herbs, grass....but still very mild. A deceptive cigar for its size.
I must say that I know nothing about this cigar, I have never heard of them before but it was a kind gift from Joann at Gestocigars. It took me a while to find a little bit of information on them, here is the website if anyone is interested: http://www.septimocigars.com/index.php?id=1 I can't find anywhere online who sells them.
Also I have to say this: This is the most expensive cigar I have had to date, and will be for the foreseeable future. If I remember correctly, this cigar, for a single, was 45 swiss francs. To put it into perspective, I can buy a Behike 52 single for 31 swiss francs. On CGARS, a Behike 52 would be 26.90 pounds for a single, add another third again, we get, more or less, 39 pounds for a single, for this cigar........
Would I ever pay this for this cigar......no.......but simply because I would rather have a Behike, or a 3 pack of Hoyo Epi 2's! If anyone has ever heard of these cigars or had one, I would love to hear your thoughts!

ERDM Choix ?poque at a wedding. Didn't leave much of an impression...

Gave out a couple of Guantanmera Minutos (handy to have for such occasions) to some other wedding guests, who thoroughly enjoyed them. Watching my brother try to smoke a cigar is fun, he smokes roll ups, so a cigar(even a Minutos) cane be a bit much....

I had a Partagas Salamones yesterday and as I smoked it I thought it was a cigar only really for those who can cope with it. By that I mean it was a very big, strong cigar, perhaps too much for me.

Towards the end I was struggling a bit even though I had a drink all the time I was smoking it. I avoid alcohol for daytime smokes so stuck to diluted juice. Maybe this isn't a cigar for a bright sunny day.

It lasted over 2 hours and burnt evenly, no plugging. I did have to relight it once but it was my fault I got distracted for too long and it went out. I'll post pics later today.

I don't write reviews or read them as my palette doesn't pick up many flavours so it is a bit of a waste of time. I do know if I like a cigar and that is what I go on. I appreciated this cigar but I don't know if I liked it.

I certainly had a bit of a reaction afterwards for a half hour or so. I felt much better after I had eaten though. Maybe this is a cigar that needs a half time break. I think 2 hours 20 mins is a long time to smoke.

That's really all very fascinating mate. They certainly have some interesting and colourful looking packaging on their range, which looks reasonably extensive.Very interesting to read your thoughts on it too Chris, did it change much as you smoked through it?.At that price you're certainly into the top end EL/RE area and, speaking for myself,I don't think I would ever pay that out on a single cigar so I'm with you on that for sure.Interesting stuff though mate, thank you
