Good choice Chris! Cuaba is a great brand. Lots of things happen in such a magnificent stick. Glad you enjoyed it!

What does 'Davidoff Stop' relate to at the bottom of your entry relate to Arf?

Zino Davidoff recommended that the last third of a cigar shouldn't be smoked. Sometimes I go along with that if the final third is not delivering to the same standard as the priors ..... or, as in this case I'd completely mistimed the smoke and the program was about to start.

But truthfully, I sometimes think of the last third in a lot of cigars as just being a handle and a bit like a banana skin, something I've paid for, but wouldn't want to eat!

Churchll thought the second half of a Cuban was like any other cigar & not worth smoking. That's why he had so many large butts for his garden to mulch down. Personally I usually smoke down to around 1 3/4" but on a superb classic cigar, I have been know to go down to 1/2" or less. I guess the clue to stop for me is if it turns bitter.

I think that the rule about this is very simple: just smoke it for as long as you're enjoying it!
If you want a midget to look like a baby, don't put a cigar in his mouth.

Managed my first smoke in what feels like ages... Picked out a Ramon Allones Extra, smelled super rich pre light and didn't fail to deliver.

Only my 2nd one that I've had since release last autumn - rather glad I've got a couple of boxes sleeping!
