Just fired up a Bolivar Britanicas over looking the Ipswich quay. Will report back what I thought of it.

Boli Brit went down well. Slightly aniseedy in the first half inch, that left and a more spice earthyness / meaty taste with hints of cream went throughout the rest of the cigar. Aniseed taste came back towards the nub. Overall, not bad for a new stogie.

Not much progression in flavour in my opinion, but still hit the spot!

Got two more which will rest for another year or so to compare.

      Vegas 5 for me today.

Pleasant without being earth shattering. Lots of smoke and quite an easy draw.

Passed an hour and a bit in the sunshine.

A Hoyo du dauphin, my preferred daytime smoke at the moment. I got an an hour and a quarter of creamy goodness out of this one. These are smoking really well - having been discontinued they tend to have a decent age on them. I can definitely recommend them to fans of thinner ring guages.

Just smoked a Tambota short robusto, nice little pocket rocket bought from Andy last month, will have to source some more now.

            Decision decisions...

I visited the wonderful Farrants of Cobham this morning while out for a spin on my motorbike. I brought home a few sticks and now can't decide which to try tonight. So my choice is between:

Rocky Patel edge maduro torpedo (had one a couple of week ago and really rated it)
Rocky Patel olde world reserve maduro robusto
Red Lion Connecticut maduro Toro (a monster at 60x6")

I'm leaning towards the Red Lion, I have plenty of time to relax with it tonight.

i have lit the beast, epxect a review this evening (my first review). Seems these are well known in the states but not so much over here.

I do like Farrants, they always have some interesting stuff that's harder to find elsewhere, especially NCs

                    Chris,
I'll be interested in your thoughts. I'm a Cuaba fan - I particuarly like the Divino (gone through 2 boxes and a few singles in just over a year) and the Distinguido.
Some find that Cuaba's can plug but it isn't something I've had a problem with.

Really lovely! Perfect draw....was definitely different to anything I had smoked before...I enjoyed it. It was just a single so might be in the market for some more now I have a Cuaba Piramides LE 2008 waiting in the humi for me...one of the more expensive cigars I have ever bought.....looking forward to it more now

Party SPN2, which is just lovely. Smoked quite a few of these over the years and never had a bad one.

Nearing the end of the P2, and it's a little diss appointing. Burn has been a bit uneven, and one side of the filler has been bribing faster than the other, only by a little, so it was manageable, but a little annoying.
