I've got a great cigar collection - it's actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn't going to smoke every last one of 'em.

Also an Upmann Mag 50 (chocolate and then some hits of hot cross bun, very nice indeed) and a PL Regalias De Londres 2010 RE,quite unlike anything I've ever had before with sweet burnt caramel flavours My thanks again to Nick and Dan for a great afternoon's camaraderie.

as some of you know no.10 has a ?25.00 min spend or you can buy a cigar from there humi, fair enough really how ever we wanted some thing to eat and not really fancing anything from the menu (?16.50 for a a burger, get real) we decided to go out and come back for another smoke after only to be informed by the ice maiden waitress who could freeze a polar bear with one look that we would have to spend another ?25.00 if we came back cheeky fu......s

They are really clever those places you see, because they acted like that, I'll know never to go there and I'm sure many others from the forum will do the same.

I to can agree the first ?25 min spend, although I have not had any trouble in doing that in the past after a few drinks...
But I'm sure the ice maiden is taking the piss with the second attempt in trying to charge you..

Shame really, always found the staff very pleasant...

It is a shame. It's a venue that we have supported since they opened (I started going when the hotel wasn't even finished as its just around the corner) and they always waived the charge. The staff were always very good (Tibor come back!!!) and under new management they are towing the corporate line which means their venue is even emptier than it was before.

Pnut, it's a shame that you had (another) bad experience and ultimately it's their loss. The owner is opening another hotel next to the Lanesborough and although I will never forgive him for destroying 'Pizza on the Park' which was there before, the location and luxury will warrant a ?25 minimum spend...

I feel a thread coming on.
