    Feunte Opus X Perfection

Just finished Saturday night with a great cigar - I have a proper cold/bloked nose so wondered how I would get on but the cigar was still a pleasure. I may have missed some of the finer flavours but the build, draw, burn and balance was great.

Starting off the day with the SC Mercaderes and some coffee. Should keep me occupied for a while.

RYJ Romeo no.2 tubos from the 1960's. Wow! Probably the best smoke I've ever had! Purchased from our own cigar aficianado a while back, along with some 1950's jamiacan cigars. Cheers Andy. A whole different smoking experience I tells ye. A whole different strength and balance thing going on. I was expecting a mild cigar, and having to search for flavours but no, I could taste the classic RYJ profile, that citrus like undertone, albeit not quite as prevailing as recent sticks. Along with mild liquorice and a dusty toast flavour, with a balance to die for, perfect burn and a ghost like ash with matching smoke, I reiterate, one of the best smokes ever. Thank you Andy for the experience to try these. I have one left and will save this for a very special experience.
I took pictures, but am unable to upload via tapatalk. I will do it the hard way when I manage to crawl upstairs to the lapytop :-)

Was about to light up a Partagas Black Label Clasico after my dinner but it got dark all of sudden so decided to leave it for tomorrow (fingers crossed on the weather)
A cigar is not measured by its cost - It is measured by how much it burns your fingers

If you light up in the dark you can play ' lightsabres!'

Those no.2 from 60s cA gave us are amazing somke! very different to the new stuff. teh smoke volume and the burn is bloody amazing. and you kind of feel like u have been transfered back in time when you smoke it.

the thing is you need to find a nice location and in the right mood to smoke it, don't waste it while you are too drunk or its windy outside.

Don TJ has a Fuente Fuente OpusX Perfection A ( 9 1/4 X 47) in a single, unopened wooden coffin that has been sitting in his massive humidor for years. I may have to pick the lock and give 'er a go based on your comments.grin.gif

Welcome back, senor beer.gifbooze! Where ya' been, boy?

Don TJ's choice tonight - a fantastic R&J Petit Pyramid EL 2005. The damn thing was so good he bogarted the puro and smoked it past the nub, then posted a new thread (Best Puro of the Year...so far!) to celebrate his bliss!

Hey BB! Count me in on the "lock picking" thing!

Haha! Me too, BB. I have my eye on one of the H. Upmann Robustos don TJ has hidden in his fine faux leather Travel Humi!
