Got the day off work and my wife and daughter are away for a few hours. Thought I would use the opportunity to sample one of the San Cristobal Muralla purchased from Stevieboy.

Creamy sweet wood at the moment

Tasting my first Partagas Serie E2
First impressions : a very easy draw perhaps a little to easy, full bodied,
It's got an anaesthetic finnish on the tongue.
About an inch into it,we'll see how it develops.
Not the most appealing start to a new Cigar I've tasted but !

Yes but I remember the SP2 when it came out first and it was just delightful, straight from Cuba.

Mate's funeral, known the lad since we were toddlers... smoked an Epi 2 at the wake that didn't want to behave once it got past the halfway mark. Hope my mate burned a little easier...

The Party 898 I had in the evening with too much red wine was a much better cigar!

Nothing like a bit of comedy to lighten the funeral mood. Reminds me of my uncle walking into the crematorium form great grandmothers funeral, ruffling his jacket saying "Is it me, or is it a bit hot in here?" much a laugh was had, not from my granddad though.

Lastnight I had my first Trinidad Reyes which I thought was utterly fantastic. It lasted a lot longer than I expected, especially compared to a Monte #5. It kept me interested throughout and there is no doubt that I intend to buy again!!!

Later that same evening I had a Monte Petit Tubo which required some work. I love this cigar however this was dried out pretty badly and I now know I should always check tubed cigars before handing over ?12.95. It was split slightly near the head and after going for it from the humidor it had split down the side a good inch or so, this section of the stick I had to cut off and after I finishd it was the same length of a Monte #5. Still, it was a reliable and lovely smoke. I like Montecristo
