Well I was expecting something a little different with this but it's pretty much Magners, right down to the impossibly orange colour. Nevermind, it's okay in this weather with plenty of ice!

My friends... don't be led into temptation... as I have been... (to my shame).
I bought a few bottles to try, thinking I'd give them the once over... keeping an open mind like... but not expecting much.
Oh boy. What insipid... jumping-on-the-magners-brand-wagon-gravy-train-of-bland-p**swater is this??
God. I should be flogged for being dumb enough to even try 'em!
Anyhow... gather round brothers and I'll tell you a secret...
The only cider worth drinking comes from this country... and this country alone!
(We'll let you know if this ever changes... but don't hold your breath).
P.S. There are some mass market ciders that are worth a couple of quid.
For anyone who's only ever known... the cloying sweet embrace of that feeble imitation of a cider... Magners.
Could I suggest *'Westons Old Rosie' as a starting point to exploration?
(*Available in many good off-ies and Waitrose)
Your taste buds will thank me.

And... another thing!
You gotta ask... if your cider is any good (i.e. actually tastes of apples) why would your main selling feature be:
"Hey, you can put 'ice' in it!"
Yeah, cos I really want to dilute this weak p**s any more!Originally posted by DRAGMASTEREvery time I sleep with a girl I smoke a cigar while we do it. It's exciting and makes you feel strong, manly and empowered.

Well said El Cat. I have made it a point of principle never to buy a cider which has been advertised served with ice. Why on earth would you want to water down your cider?
Anyway, one of the advantages of being firmly in the West Country - plenty of good cider options available in most half-decent pubs. Having just taken over the reigns of a Real Ale and Cider Society I should really make a point of doing plenty of cider research this summer (as I'm already well versed in the drink of malted merriment).

Ah yes, Weston's Old Rosie. 7.3% of pure tasty goodnessLo there do I see my Father. Lo there do I see my Mother, and my Sisters and my Brothers. Lo there do I see the line of my people, back to the beginning. Lo they do call to me. They bid me take my place among them, in the halls of Valhalla where the brave may live forever.
