hey superbro,
that's a helluva collection of whisky you got there, plenty of scotch!!! you definitely look like a connoisseur!!! what about irish whiskey, what's your thoughts? btw, i'm not one of those 'irish whiskey is better than scotch' type folks!!! to me they're different beasts altogether...... both have different qualities!!! just curious to hear your thoughts!!!

that's the bushmills 10yr old single malt!!! that's lucky if it lasts even a week in my house, lol!!! usually i have the black bush or 16year old single malt on the go...... they usually pair up nicely with bolivars and partagas cigars!!! i find that most scotch whiskies are too smokey/ peaty for my liking!!! don't get me wrong, i am partial to a wee dram of jura, macallan 10 yr, glenlivet etc from time to time.......
here's a couple of irish recommendations:
redbreast 12 yr old
jameson 12yr old
bushmills 16yr old (?35 in tescos)
also, the connemara whiskies are pretty close to scotch in terms of smokey/ peat flavours!!! the cask strength sounds like a winner (i've yet to try it)!!!
anyway, reckon i may have to sniff some of those easier to find whiskies you've got there (the yamazaki is something i've been wanting to check out for a while now)!!!
cheers ol' boy,
alex
