Yeah I bought a bottle of this myself recently. Not had much chance to give it a go yet but first impressions were good.

21 and 25 are very very good, also 30, although I'm not sure they're that much better than the 18.
I was lucky enough to have a dram (or was it two?) of the 40 year old, now THAT is exceptional!"By the cigars they smoke, and the composers they love, ye shall know the texture of men's souls." John Galsworthy

I was in Tobermory (Isle of Mull) during the summer and they had a whisky tasting in the tourist office. There was a beautiful 25 year old Balvenie and when I asked the price, I was told ?65. The gut said to me, "I see you like your whisky!" When I asked him how he knew, he told me that when he told me the price, I didn't even blink! Got to say that i bought a bottle and it sits along with my Uigeadail (Ardbeg) for special occasions! No man has the right to fix the boundary of a nation.

I imagine that your prices for scotch are much better in the uk, being that it comes from there. It costs us canadians too much.
Highland park 12 is one of my mainstays. I prefer it to The Macallan 12 and it's $25 cheaper. I have yet to try the 18. With my birthday and christmas looming, I shall put in a request!

I actually prefer the 12 YO to either the 15 or 16, and though the 18 is good, it's not ?40 per bottle better. I've tried the 25 and 30 too (though never had a full bottle of either) and yes, they were good, but again, the hike in the price is huge for what you get.
I'd like to try the Hjarta (is that right?) special edition, to see what that's like and I do like to shock myself every now and then by checking out the prices online of some of the older bottles and specials. I heard there was a 50 Y/O to be bottled this year - not sure if that ever came about?
