the pricing must be a gateway... I confess they are not as 'deep' in flavour as some, but as a nice refreshing pleasing glass of beer, at a corking price they are good value. will check out the tesco options

started a topic Lidl Bitter Iron IPA

    Lidl Bitter Iron IPA

Tried it this eve .... picked it up as happened to pop in for a loaf of bread and it caught my eye. Been ill on a short holiday so felt the need to fit in a cheeky ale. I was pleasantly surprised.... as supermarket ?craft? ale goes it was well balanced, drinkable and didnt give away its circa five and a half percent strength with any ?cheap? harsh flavours. Nicely bitter, crisp and fresh flavoured, i?d buy it again and when feeling a bit better try the others in the range which all come in a bit punchier on the %ages!
Working...
