I was recently introduced to the Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva and boy does it compliment some smokes; it is a real treat......very good indeed!

My usual rum favourites have been the Ron Zacappa XO GRS and QRM Aniversario 30 (Ron Quorhum) - have not tried them with cigars yet, must give them a try too, it would be rude not to.....

I think this is definitely a mixing rum. It doesn't have enough body to stand alone.

Just caught up on this thread. Big rum fan here. Agree on the HC 7yo I?ve always though it made a great Cuba libre always make mine with it for myself. Doesn?t have the quality to stand on its own IMHO.
Tried all sorts over the years but my personal favourite is the plantation 20th anniversary ..

Yes, 20th Anniversary is a fantastic rum. Have a bottle of it that I am getting through perhaps a little too quickly. Great after-taste too.
