Apparently an old Irish tradition that I will be doing this weekend and tried Thursday evening briefly as suggested to me by the fine people at Tullamore Dew.
Take a beer of your choice any, and after having a nice swig of that, have a sip or two of Tullamore Dew and you will notice the beer highlights or makes more pronounced flavours within the whisky itself, Thursday evening I thought I would give it a go with a bottle of Erdinger as my beer of choice. WOW I was able to detect much more clearly a sweet citrusy undertone to the whisky.
Excellent stuff, apparently Stout gives a much more sugar sweet response, so tonight I'm going to start with a nice Amstell and move onto a Stout, but for anyone who is a fan of Tullamore Dew, A Dew and a Brew is a great combo and also you sure as hell are going to feel it after a bit.
