'Swing' is a nice whiskey, but Green Lablel is my favorite of the JW collection.

Blue Label is a great whiskey but ?100 overpriced

Stayed in a hotel in bruges Dec 2014 , no heating or hot water , was told could have full refund and find somewhere else , no chance Xmas market etc , so had 75% discount and a couple of free drinks at the bar. First night went out came back around 10.30 young girl at the bar poured me a full coke glass of vsop when I asked her for a small cognac. Woooow just fell on deaf ears .
Went out next day had lunch etc came back had a siesta like you do got ready to go out in the evening for dinner walked down to reception to find the other couples we'd met in the hotel sitting in reception drinking , free bar apparently , ordered pizza etc , drank champagne , Belgium beer etc etc , myself and another fella fancied a night cap walk to the bar ask the barmaid for a whisky sorry we've only this left and handed over two glasses and a full bottle of jw blue label . Happy days ended up with 75% refund , went to same hotel last Xmas and git another 50% off I like bruges

                  FYI

So the new JWGL is not a limited release and being re-introduced.

                  -------

Johnnie Walker brand owner Diageo discontinued Green Label globally in 2012 (except for Taiwan, where demand for blended malts is exceptionally strong), as part of a revamp of the range that saw the introduction of Gold Label Reserve and Platinum Label.
But now the brand is back on sale in the UK, with global availability to follow, after a limited release in the US and Australia.
‘We listened to our customers and consumers, and we are responding to popular demand to bring it back into our core range,’ said Dr Nick Morgan, head of whisky outreach at Diageo.
‘Johnnie Walker Green Label has always had a following, and releasing limited volumes of it in the US and Australia this year to mark the 10th anniversary of its first introduction has revealed how much consumers have missed Johnnie Walker Green Label and want to see it back. We’re thrilled to be able to respond to that.’
Dr Morgan emphasised that the formulation of Green Label, which bears a 15-year-old age statement, had not changed since its exit from the Johnnie Walker range.
Johnnie Walker Green Label combines four single malts: Talisker from Skye; SpeysidersLinkwood and Cragganmore; and Caol Ila from Islay.

I tried my old JW GL and my new one as a test..

So as you can see from the image there is a slight difference in colour..the orginal whisky was lighter in color, but only slightly.

Flavour, there was some difference between the two.. I found the new GL was a sightly more floral taste which was just slightly smoother.

Otherwise they were pretty similar and of you didn't have them one buy one it would be hard to tell the difference.

Do they add e18 to the new jwgl I think that's the code for carmel to darken whiskey and to sweeten it
