I may be shot for this but I am not a rum person. Merely down to a lack of knowledge.
I can imagine they can go very well with a cigar in fact.
Maybe it is time to invest...
This is a peaceful thread no shooting here, I'm sure you can't go wrong with some of the mentions in here.
Im not usually a Rum drinker but had a Kraken the other night and quite enjoyed it. Full flavoured and sweet, thought I could even taste a note of coffee to it. I think it would be a good pairing to a cigar.
Had another glass last night after a long day yesterday and noticed more and more of a vanilla flavour coming through as well, very nice!
Right, just finished my plantation, gonna need to get another one to replace it, thinking one of the following:
Santa Teresa 1796 - Never tried - ?42
Appleton estate 50 year old - bit pricey - ?3495
Don Rhon 12 year - looks worth a punt - ?16
Dos Maderas PX - strange sounding one, aged for 5 years, then aged again for another 5 years in two different sherry casks - ?41
or even something else that looks interesting, anyone got an ideas?

I'd go for a case of the Appleton 50 yr old , don't be so tight
Yeah it's really good, just don't fancy the ?100 price tag at the moment, I'd rather get two decent ?50 bottle to switch it up, I like having a little selection. Do love the glasses though
