Cognac / Armagnac

Thought seeing as we have the whiskey thread I would started the Cognac / Armagnac one off
Bored at work so having a little tipple of some XO Armagnac from Vieil Chateau du Tariquet I think I picked this up in waitrose over a year ago

My normal rotation is:
Otard Baron
Camus VSOP
Martell VSOP

The latter two can no longer be found in my province so it's a rare treat when I crack my bottles. Martell and Camus VSOP I find better than any of the 3 main XO (Henny, Remy, Courvo). They are very good Cognacs that are found for a great price.
Next time I visit Europe, I'm definitely flying out of Paris. Best Duty Free I have EVER seen for selections of Cognacs.


My local liquor stores have no selections of Cognacs so I can't be as adventerous as you blokes

Looks great, I love a bit of Armagnac.

The fact that I can actually read this thread today means that Friday nights hangover has finally gone.

Don't mix red wine with Elijah Craig & Blantons Gold kids, it's not big and it's definitely not clever [emoji88]

Maybe we need a general booze thread as well so that we can all show off our Xmas purchases [emoji16]

Martell VSOP is a decent regular tipple.... But if you think it's better than Remy XO your touched in the head!

I have to agree Marc, Remi XO is a wonderful drink, my bottle is the Excellence and it is LOVERLY

The Remy XO is something that I adore but would never pay that price for if Martell VSOP exists. Now... Martell XO..............
