Spirits tasting

I have come up with a little idea for fun
I am wondering after much discussion on the forum if anyone would be interested in a monthly spirits tasting
It would work something like this
I can purchase basically anything in my job [emoji106][emoji1]
Especially wines and spirits now I though if I get hold off some small screw top 5cl bottles etc which I have seen on eBay
I could do a monthly taster of something a couple at a time maybe this would all be done at cost which would mean we could taste some pretty rare stuff
The cost of a bottle would be minimised as if I don't get say 14 people to take part in 50ml each then I will cover the extra and put it in my bar at work
If we can keep the bottles and occasionally send them back we can keep the cost down
What do you guys think
At present I have access to over 100 whiskeys / whisky / bourbons in my bar and can keep the costs really quite low
If interested please add yourself to this thread if it's a goer I will start a new thread

Sounds a great idea, If you make it 30ml, I could help you sourcing bottles that are oval to allow them to go as large letter which will knock a couple of quid off postage.

That would be one of the best ideas i've ever heard. Man, I would give a yearly subscription on this.
I know REASON (Chis) might even be interested in these, too.

All those whiskey tasting events in Toronto (whiskey live, spirit of toronto) charges $150 a head and I've always considered just having 4 people buy two bottles each of very good whiskey and have our own fckn tasting. This idea for a monthly taste would be amazing!!

Oh man YES YES YES!!!!! Gutted it will only let me do a single thumbs up, Could suggest a cigar to go with it and we can try and figure out pairings as suggested on other therads?

Yep the downside to this idea is the taster size sample leaving you wanting more , bit like a prick tease in your teens. At least then you didn't really know exactly what you were missing lol
