Nice stuff you guys have there. I don't have anywhere as nice as that for my bottles and glasses. I have some nice bits but it's all over the house. I would really like to do something line you guys have. Maybe when I build my garden retreat. I'd love to hear a rundown of what drinks you have in your bottles, Marc you have a bottle in the bottom of your cabinet that looks like an M&S port bottle with some whisky in it. My bottles currently on the go are:

Lagavulin 16 (struggled with this but coming round to it)

The Balvenie Double Wood 12

The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14

Talisker (total bargain at ?5.77 per 20cl bottle so I got seven!)

Glenmorangie 10 just finished it [emoji20] also just consigned a Glenlivet to the bottle bin.

Those are all the spirits that I have except my own brandy which I have aged for too long. I'm going to double distill it and use the same oak again for a more seasoned finish. I think I'll add some stuff to the "things we make" tread soon. Maybe with some help from a friend.

English cut glass crystal for me i like the weight , always keep drink in the bottle generally always have six or seven bottles of spirits open at once. I've found small antique shops an excellent outlet for cut glass crystal

Well done eagle eyes! I save 50cl, 30cl and smaller bottles with cork tops for storing my current drinkin whisky.... You see oxygen is a spirits arch nemesis and the more air to spirit mix you have in your bottle which increases the more you drink the more chance you have of things oxidising and flavours changing, so it's a method I use to keep as little oxygen in contact with the spirit as possible.... And M&S bottles tend to be thick good quality glass and fit for the job.

To be fair, this is probably overkill and I'm not suggesting anyones spirits are in immediate danger of tainting if they have half a bottle or less..... But if your thinking of keeping that small amount for an extended period then you really should consider a smaller bottle to preserve all the good flavour.

look up Glencairn Glass.... IMO it's the ONLY way to fully appreciate a fine sipping Whisky.

Think I might get some of these, they look the part and they aid your drinking experience.
