Hi, im looking for some nice whisky glasses/decanter but not sure what I fancy, so if you could post a few pics, it may give me a push in the right direction.

Sadly my glass situation is dire. I have a lovely blue glass baby sized beaker that I use for port, I'll post a pic later.

I have used a couple decanter over the years and have come to the conclusion that for spirits they look nice but are useless. Wine and fortified wines are another story.

Now Whisky glasses that's a topic easily split in two. Do you want glasses that look good or glasses that improve the drinking experience?

I'm on my phone so can't easily post links, but look up Glencairn Glass.... IMO it's the ONLY way to fully appreciate a fine sipping Whisky.

Both really, something nice for when I have guests around and maybe some of those little nosing glasses for when I am by myself.

English cut glass crystal for me i like the weight , always keep drink in the bottle generally always have six or seven bottles of spirits open at once. I've found small antique shops an excellent outlet for cut glass crystal

This is the bubble glass beaker I mentioned earlier. The pic does no justice, it's eggshell thin and a joy to drink from. Great for rum sipping and port too. I haven't used it for spirits but I might give it a go.

I have two decanters in there, one which I used to use for whiskey but to be honest I just keep it in the bottles now and a ships decanter which I do still use for Port.

I have a selection of cut crystal glasses. I have a total of 6 of those whiskey tumblers, a couple of brandy glasses and a couple of Champagne flutes.

I also have a couple of these...

Whilst not exactly the same as the Glencairn glasses, they are pretty similar and I use them for the same purpose. I can't seem to find any pictures of these glasses on the net to find out exactly what they are... I picked them up at a boot sale. Anyone seen ones like them before?

Yeah they're similar but most Irish coffee glasses have handles. Whilst searching Irish coffee glasses though, I saw some under Irish Cream glasses which were similar so it looks like I've got a couple of Baileys glasses! Still nice to use for a wee dram!
