Enjoying a glass of Laphroaig Quarter Cask for the first time in a while... might be the harshness of the NC I'm smoking but doesn't seem as heavily smokey as it has in the past... ironically!

I'd always recommend a lighter dram if you want to get into whisky. Glengoyne, Dalwinnie, or even a grain whisky. Grain whiskies tend to be sweeter not so heady. You could give Hedonism a try.

Best advise is to do as advised before. Search for "drinks by the dram" and pick a selection. That way you're not burdened with a full bottle of it's not to your taste.
