Yamazaki 12 at Tesco's for ?45. It's not in many shops and those that do have it have hiked the price up since the sherry cask business. I've seen it for ?150 on Amazon.

It's not cheap, but it is a great whisky. I was at their distillery last year, and they take so much care of all the whisky making process, you really understand where your money's going.

Ew. I still remember those Balthazars of wine (12L) that you would get for christening parties. They're like $120 and made for a LOT of people who don't drink wine. If you ever see a Balthazar of wine, stay the hell away from it.

Much like gallon jugs of whiskey! I think we have 4.5L bottles of Johnnie Walker Red, Appleton Rum, Bacardi Clear, etc at our local liquor stores. Steer clear as well

Ok gents, I'm gonna cave, I'm going to give whisky a try again, it's been a few years since I had it last and as a Scot I think it's a duty to try again.

I know for a fact that I dislike peaty whisky, and can't stand Jamiesons.

Looking for about a ?40 or less bottle.
Can I have some suggestions please?
