Every bar should be crammed with the normal stuff and a couple bottles of the good stuff sitting around to spice things up.... After all, they wouldn't be all that special if ya had loads of multiples of them now would they?
Did I have enough things to spice it up a little at the pub :-) did you managed to try the Lagavulin 1980

Yep Martyn, II certainly did, it went well with my corona media, didn't overpower the cigar the way peaty ones do for me but they complimented each other well. Not that I'all drinking again at the price I'd likely have to pay elsewhere for it.
Like the port as well, shame I'd had almost reached my limited by then for driving the next day or I would had tried some more. The '85 must have been slightly sweeter vintage for a Warres or is it just a long time sice I last had vintage port?

That bottle of Zacapa got me pretty moist. I'm still not into whisky in a big way but if you like your Bourbons then Four Roses small batch is definitely worth a bottle.
I do love bourbons, I do like all of the offering Four Rose offers. I see the 125th anni on the shelf and have been tempted to give it a try. Have you every have Black maple hill ? If not try it. I also like the cheap stuff(not bad stuff just easy on the wallet) such as George Dickel 12yr. I'm a big fan of the BTAC favourite being George T Stagg, unfortunately they don't stick around long.

Ardbeg is probably my favourite Distillery, Ardbeg Ten is my favourite every day dram. The Octomore's were from a local Single malt GB
oh Chris..... you bloody meathead
What? i said peathead! Peathead!
But seriously... should get some quality images of those Octomores! I've only had the blackie and actually loved it . it's no Dalmore or Cragganmore... but it sure is something magical in its own respect
