Spot on, for me it's Cigar or a Peat Whisky not both together. Some aromatic Pipe tobacco's can almost handle the pace but even then.....

For Cigars AND Whisky I tend to keep it simple, Glenmorangie, Glenfiddich, Glenlivet or lots of options with blends.

Haha.....I've only got half a bottle of Jim Beams.....building my rum collection slowly but surely though.
oh and a bottle of courvoisier and various Italian liqueurs.

Next bottle of whisky will be an Islay though.

That will be the Talisker and Caol in the blend shining through, green label is the gem of the walker range for me. But when it's gone it's gone for good, so snap it up now if you want it.

we'll just call you the Jeremy whisperer on this thread then.. you seem to always get me
and awesome nice note of history there too!! i guess octomore might have a small amount of sentimental value too? Or how about the more relevantly named: Port Charlotte? haha

Strangely, considering my like of peated whisky I haven't taken to Talisker.
Have you taken a liking to Talisker 57 then? try it out, it goes down smoother

and bruichladdich infinity (if i remember correctly) was a sample of the OLD bruichladdich. McEwan found a whole bunch of old maturing casks when he bought it. after a few samplings, some were churned out to be the "infinity" whilst most others were churned out as "1st edition" 10, 15, and 20 YO. as i still have my 20YO first edition signed by mcewan himself.
just gotta wait for the bloke to die and then sell the thing

same here! the others are just waaaaay too harsh. making the price of the blue isn't its only turn off ;(
which reminds me. take it to a search on the forum. Alex (from Belfast) had a good review on walker's green a while back. loved the thing, he did.

where's Alex!? he'd love this thread we're having here.......

Funny that, it will teach me to read the thread titles first! Maybe tomorrow I'll line up my rum collection for a photo to make Mark salivate (my wife likes rum).
