Angostura 1919, Old Monk, Pussers, Bundaberg, Appleton Estate, Brugal, Chairmans Reserve, Mount Gay, Pyrat, Zacapa, Higher range Havana Club and Woods 100 are all excellent rums.

Sailor Jerry, Cockspur and the lower range Havana Club's are reasonable.

Obviously ths is all IMHO

what a product to miss off, good call!..... I heard they used to use it for cleaning baths so just be careful it doesn't take the enamel off your teeth.

On a serious note, if you ever make a Rumtopf and use any other Rum that W&N then your doing it wrong.

I see amazon have the matusalem (gran reserva version) for sale... probably others but haven't looked but have seen it recommended highly on another forum.

Definitely one to check out for future though.

I have ordered diplomatico reserva exclusiva, havana club 7, angostura 1919 and gonna grab the eldorado 15. That will do for this xmas, but I fancy the zacapa and matusalem next... depending how I take to these ones.

The Angostura is absolute nectar, drink it neat! The Havana is great on crushed ice and a citrus wiped rim or use it to replace the Cognac in a nice twist on the classic Sidecar cocktail.

I'd recommend any of the "Plantation" range of rums to anyone...not had a bad one yet & plenty of variety to choose from...

Lol... It's not Cigar Flavor Cognac, it's blended for a flavour profile to pair with a cigar.... Which cigar I couldn't tell you.

Having never drank it I can only offer conjecture, I think it's a marketing ploy like the HINE cigar Cognac.

I am of the opinion that Remy Martin XO is the finest brandy I have ever drunk bar none! Remy VSOP is excellent also, as is Hennessey Fine de Cognac.
