No Al;ex, I haven't trie doit or it'slook alike St Bernardus. Only been over there 23yrs, still working my through the local beers. My cafe does a Belgian beer of the week so I do get to try a variety but in genreal I do not avour the 9%+. The y are now making 11 & 12% lines!

What this skimpy article doesn't mention is that it was most popular with the Tommy's of WW1, I think that might be because it has a similar colour to British Bitter but a wee bit stronger 5.4% instead 3.5%. One can imagine it wasn't so strong during or just after the war due to shortages ect.
