Beer sampling

I took the family to the National brewery centre today and got to have a couple of my favourite pints in the brewery tap.

Managed to make a couple of purchases in the shop on the way out as well ImageUploadedByTapatalk1364923313.182874.jpg

I am particularly looking forward to trying this ImageUploadedByTapatalk1364923345.882033.jpg but at 10% it may be a session ender.

I can definitely recommend the red shield ImageUploadedByTapatalk1364923402.832408.jpg it is brighter and crisper than the white shield as it uses some American hops.

This one intrigued me as it contains ImageUploadedByTapatalk1364923477.282183.jpg yuzi juice and sugi wood, no idea what they are?

I will have the water and paracetamols ready for tomorrow 😄

Burton on Trent, Staffordshire it's the old Bass museum was a nice way to spend a couple of hours

Annoyingly, I won't be in that area until at least June, but will certainly make best efforts to pop in, looks like a terrific place.

If you get chance there is a micro brewery pub literally a 5 minute walk away called the Burton Bridge their beers are excellent. The pub is a proper old style drinkers pub and serve an amazing pork pie. :-)
