Deanston single malt - I indulge with a large one about once a month. The Macallan 50yr old I got for my 65th birthday - I indulge with a small one about once a century !

Just to clarify - the Deanston was under ?70.00 and the 50yr old Macallan cost me nothing - so I think I'm within the brief !

I've just checked the first post on the thread - whiskey - that's Irish, not Scotch ! Get rid of that 'e' and we're back in the land of Rob Roy !

PEATy Scotch (usually from Islay) isn't everyone's taste - but it is mine. My wife (the Warden) insists that Laphroaig tastes like burnt rope. Aren't women wonderful ? Answer - yes - when they're asleep !
