As someone who prefers Islay malts, bargains are few and far between. The best I found was a 72 hour offer at Sainsburys 10 days ago for Laphroaig at ?25.00. Shame I had to choose between a case of that and the family eating for the remainder of the year !
Dusted & wiped my bar down t'other day..these are the whiskies.. Merry Xmas...
Far too much choice for one man - it leads to dilemma syndrome - better that you spread them around your friends and acquanitances, keeping, perhaps a blended and a malt. Believe me, decision making will prove so much easier. PS Can I be your friend ?

I don't have a Tesco within 15 miles or an Adsa within 45 miles - so a 30/90 mile round trip at 40 mpg makes the tempting price less tempting. It's the price you pay for living in the hills ! Having said that, I have 'suggested' Laphroaig to several kindly folk as my preferred Christmas present - I wait in expectation.
Just happen to have a bottle of the old Phroggy kicking around...I think I'll have a wee dram...
I live in the midst of nothing David, that's why I built my bar....
Best drinking toast ever..."absent friends"....
