I really don't think that vodka was ever intended to be drunk over a cigar. In Russia, cigars aren't popular, except with oligarchs, so there isn't an established relationship - as there is in central europe with Scotch, Cognac or even Vin Rouge ! The Russians I have encountered enjoying cigars were doing so with a cognac.

the only vodka i have ever enjoyed with a cigar is the Smirnoff Copper Pot. It's much better than the standard (which tastes like a bad gin mixed with some road salt) and costs around 50% more?
It just has this unique feel to it that comes with small batch liquors and just compliments a cigar nicely at the back of your throat. I think this is just me, but has anyone else triedn the Smirnoff #55??Originally posted by ValeTudoGuyMarc's a Fat Molly
