It really is all down to the quality.
The higher the quality of sake......the cooler you should drink it.......but as not all sake IS high quality as a guide you can warm the ones that have had alcohol added.

And another........I'll stop there.
Explore the world of sake - the traditional Japanese rice wine with a rich history and unique flavor.
This one explains that it used to be served warm because there was no refrigeration and when stored for a while in wood casks it would take on the flavours of the wood. Warming or heating it made it more palatable. If you got 'em, smoke 'em !

Many thanks for the info. I have enjoyed both warm and chilled but only as a passing novelty, not with a focused understanding.Originally posted by Simon BolivarLittle medical correction there Steve, you will surely die...but not from smoking these

Not exactly as young as I once was either Scotty.
Used to be able to drink and smoke all night, go for a curry or a kebab, go home and make love to the wife 3 times and wake up in the morning fresh as a daisy.
These days she has to settle for once or twice
Well, I blame the recession. If you got 'em, smoke 'em !

Big thumbs up to the sake love here but I have yet to drink it while smoking, must change that."In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"
