evening all,
just thought i'd share my thoughts on what happens to be my favourite scotch whisky at the moment!!

i'll save any waffle and get straight to the point!!! i'm mainly an irish whiskey drinker, never really been a big fan of smokey scotch types! however, i took a chance on this one based on ralfy's review! i'm so glad because it paid off big time!!! this is lovely stuff, perfectly balanced not too peaty, which allows the other flavours to come through (i cant agree more with the cola cubes, black jacks, vanilla and lemon flavours he mentions)!!! this is quite refreshing, in a salty & zesty kinda way!!! the peat seems to linger over the whisky, rather than imbed itself in it!!!
this was the whisky i brought to donegal and sligo with me during the summer and i'll forever remember it for the clammy, damp sunny evenings spent in a traditional cottage with a turf fire burning, sipping this outside whilst smoking a pipe or cuban cigar!!! it'll also be a great drink to enjoy outside during the autumn evenings with a cuaba salamones (with turf burning in the chiminea)!!!
highly recommended, a bargain at ?35.......
