What is your favourite Cocktail

I enjoy a good mojito or Cuba Libre with a cigar.
However, another favourite of mine is a Tinto de Verano with Licor 43.
Tinto de Verano is a very popular drink in Spain, especially in summer ('Tinto de Verano' actually translates to 'Summer Red Wine'). Basically it is any red wine mixed with any lemonade and sometimes with lemon or lime added - you can also buy it ready made in bottles or on tap.
Licor 43is made from 43 different ingredients, including vanilla, citrus and other fruits, as well as aromatic herbs and spices, but the recipe and exact ingredients remain a secret. It's very sweet and often mixed with coke or with coffee.
Some people like to add a bit of Licor 43 to their tinto de verano, I like it.
On another note, for those of you who like rum and who live in London, there are a few places in Elephant & Castle, Brixton and Seven Sisters (which all have significant Latin American communties) were you can buy some decent Colombian rum, 'Ron Medellin' and 'Ron Viejo de Caldas' - I recommend.

You can buy Licor 43 in a few places in London, I'm quite sure I saw it for sale around Borough Market in a shop which sells Spanish products, if not, there are a few Spanish tapas places around where you can drink, or I can get you a bottle over from Gibraltar.
Brixton is not too bad these days actually, yes you still do get quite a lot of rastafarians knocking about and a relaxed attitude to cannabis, but the area is quite popular with young professionals and students. I live in Brixton and I really like it, but I can understand if it's not everyone's cup of tea, the place is diverse, vibrant and has plenty of character, that's why I like it.
If you ever want to visit let me know and I'll take you to a good Colombian restaurant which is very cheap but 100% authentic and great food, many good coffee shops around to enjoy quality Brazilian, Colombian and other Latin American products.

Have to say that I'm with Manning on the Tom Collins front - definitely one of my favourites. I particularly like the Ginger Tom twist on said cocktail. Essentially, it is exactly the same as a Tom Collins, with the addition of muddled ginger at the outset, lots of muddled ginger...
Also a big fan of a whiskey sour, complete with egg whites and bitters. However, I do have to depart from Eggboy's favourite. To my mind,aa whiskey sour is the only thing that makes bourbon an acceptable drink, it's a match made in heaven (won't touch the stuff otherwise). I couldn't bear to see a good Scotch used in a sour.
Actually, I love any sour. My favourites being whiskey and gin sours. I also like rum sours (actually, make one out of any spirit and I would most likely be a very happy boy). I'm with Zigatoh on the 'extra lemon, be sparing with the sugar' to a sour.

I often make a Calvados based drink called '44', not strictly a cocktail but worth a dabble:
In a large Kilner jar add:
1 Litre Calvados
1 Large Orange with skin scored a few times.
44 Cloves pressed into the orange.
44 Coffee Beans
44 Lumps of Sugar (preferably not white)
Seal the Jar.
Once a day gently turn the jar upside down a few times to mix the ingredients.
After 44 days open and savour!Exploring the world - one smoke at a time.
