Yeah maybe I needed to be more specific, irish whiskey it's generally just the level of sweetness that can be too much for me, and if anything too smooth? I like a bit of kick in my whiskey
But the laddie definitely has toffee (caramel ) or the ones I had anyway, but as with all these things it's only personal taste!

That would be why I like the Infinity [3] as it is peated to 20PPM, quite like a Laphroaig in makeup.

Smokier the better imho, Lagavulin is the dogs ....... just don't go as far as Octomore *wince*
