Tequila?

Some friends bought some last night and it looked just awful and I thought at the time should really have some proper stuff and see how it is. Where's the best place to look?

It's hard work in the UK, on the high street Waitrose has the closest to an acceptable selection other than that a wine merchant may prove a better option.

But if you want a really good Tequila in the UK the only place I would recommend is Amathus in London, if your after something specific ask for their manager Jose Alonso, they are the UK's biggest importer of Tequila and Mezcal and Jose is a fount of knowledge..... He loves a Cigar too!

I'd never thought of pairing tequila with a cigar, but I think a nice smoky 100% agave would work well.

Maybe Mezcal would also work?

It's something I have been thinking on for a while, the Punch Margaritas I found quite 'Zingy' I would stop just Short of saying 'Citric', it could be a good pairing with a quality Tequila.

Now if only I could find a cigar with full on sharp lime/lemon... lol
