We at Gerry's Wines & Spirits pride ourselves in stocking the UK's largest selection of spirits and liqueurs available to buy online. Over the years, our store in the centre of London's vibrant Soho has become famous for being something of an Aladdin's Cave of rare, weird and wonderful examples of the distiller's art.
hey there,
i have to say, it's grand ol' stuff that there hennessey vs!!! however....... spend the extra few quid and buy the VSOP instead (?36 70cl), or the fine de cognac (?30 70cl)!!! or else, go for the remy martin 'vsop' or 'couer de cognac'!!! all are available from any decent off license or supermarket!!!
though he did mention an armagnac which I'd like to give a +1, IMO it's virtually always far superior to cognac (in a price matching situation at the very least) much smoother and generally better flavours, and +a gazillion on avoid courvoisier!!
Quite bizarre! I do love a good malt and I have tried most things alcoholic in my time but I don't recall ever trying a cognac.
Time to remedy that methinks!
I have a little 'brandy corner' on the bar, the Hine & Remy Martin always seems to disappear first....
BUT! horror of horrors , it's not me!
I actually like the cheap Spanish Soberono & Metaxa private reserve... 014.jpg
I'm sure I've tried a nice Metaxa in the past.
With my growing collection of malts and possibly some cognac incoming I have the urge to buy one of those proper old school rotating globes which open at the equator and house bottles, glasses etc.
Very James Bond villainesque!
